Despite reports that he has passed away, WBF Middleweight champion Shannon Taylor is in hospital on life support after a Drug Overdose. Here is hoping that he can make a successful recovery from this.

This clip is incredible. That editing is seemless throughout, reminds me of being young. Watching rage all fucking night with a tape in the VCR on record / pause just waiting for a hip hop clip to come on. I think i still have a bunch of VHS tapes of all the stuff they used to play, and a few copies of copies of copies of Yo! MTV Raps and shit like that. Man i gotta dig those out now, see if i still have them. The fact that a video clip can inspire memories like that – is a testament to how well it is made. Well done guys.

This is a really ill clip, i love it. I’m not sold on the song but it’s ok. The bit where KRS one flies into the sky like a rocket is fucking great though. You know that was his idea. I can just picture the meeting for the clip, the director is laying out all the scenery – “we’re gonna have your album covers, and the NY skyline, and these classic images” and so forth. Then KRS is like “i want rocket feet”. That’s what i’d do, i’d have fucking rocket feet. Well played KRS, well played
2016 – James Cameron, watch out
My day was going really really badly until i saw this. There is nothing like African cinema to bring you out of a slump. Even if it’s only a temporary respite, these 31 seconds are enough to keep my from jamming some scissors into my neck as i was previously contemplating. TMZ posted the following this morning
Rap legend Heavy D — one of the most influential rappers of the ’90s — died earlier today … TMZ has learned.
Heavy D — real name Dwight Arrington Myers — was rushed to an L.A. hospital around noon today … and was pronounced dead at the hospital at 1 PM. He was 44 years old.
We’ve learned a 911 call was placed from Heavy’s Beverly Hills home around 11:25 AM to report an unconscious male on the walkway .
When help arrived, we’re told Heavy D was conscious and speaking — and was transported to a nearby hospital.
He died a short time later.
Cops are investigating the death — and so far, there are no obvious signs of foul play. Police are currently at the home.
Fuck this sucks. 2011 is killing legends left right and center. Rest in Peace Heavy D.
